MRI Time

I know I promised to post about his Victory Party and I will we have just been so busy. Tomorrow we head up to CHEO for Joel’s routine MRI. Please keep him in your prayers for a clean scan.
I was telling my Mom the other day I don’t worry about the cancer coming back for the most part. We are busy living but right around the scan it nags at me a little. I never get his results right away we end up waiting a week or two, so I am wondering while I wait for results. I don’t lose sleep over it or anything like that I just am anxious for the results. I appreciate all your prayers. Thanks.

I'll definitely say a prayer.
I can imagine the loss of sleep/worry that those couple of weeks bring. The anxiety/nerves must be tough to handle. I'll make sure to say a little prayer for those days, too. 🙂

It looks like God has a special plan for this little guy! 🙂 I'll be praying for Joel and for comfort for you as well! Good luck! 🙂

Cheryl, your blog is so beautiful. I felt as if I was going through your life with you.
I will most certainly include your precious Joel in my prayers. I also pray that you can feel God's loving and strong arms around you.

This is my first time to your blog and I want you to know I will be praying for your precious little Joel. My daughter was diagnosed with cancer a few years ago and all is well now (a long story) but, that to say, I know your pain and fears. I know the agony of the waits. And I am praying for you as well.

Thank you all for your prayers and encouragement. Shanda it is always good to hear about one who has walked through the fire so to speak and is doing well on the other side. Thank you for sharing.

hi cheryl i am so glad you posted on my blog =) i can't even tell you how i can relate to how you live your life basically "normal" then, here comes the mri and you can immediately be back at day one like you never left. i honestly don't know how you can handle waiting a week to get results! ooh honey! alyssa has her mri, and by the time she is awake and we are on our way back to clinic they have her results for us. [now, it's not the official reading from the radiologist, but her oncologist will measure it and we are good with that] =) i will now keep you and your sweet family in my prayers. hugs from your new friend.

It's really hard to walk forward and not look back. I know now that my husband is transplanted, it takes a conscious daily effort to not fear rejection and going back. Everytime he gets blood work we have that little nagging feeling.

Cheryl,
You are such a wonderful mom! It has been my experience that great kids are blessed with great moms!

Cheryl, first let me say that you are blessed with a gorgeous family! I have five children and understand full well how much you do in a days time, not to mention you're home school mom!!
I spent quite a while visiting your blog today and reading about your precious Joel. When I first looked at your blog banner and read the Bible verse from Jeremiah I felt like I was home. My favorite Bible verse is also from Jeremiah and fits well with your present life struggles. This verse has been a comfort to me as I hope it will be to you…
Jeremiah 29:11 NAS
'For I know the plans that I have for you,' declares the LORD, 'plans for welfare and not for calamity to give you a future and a hope.
I don't know what future our Heavenly Father holds for any of us but I do know, He holds us in His hands.
Thank you for sharing your personal journey of motherhood, both the joys and the distractions…May the Lord Bless and keep you, may He make His face to shine upon you, and may He give you peace!
