Proverbs 16: 24

Pleasant words are a honeycomb,
sweet to the soul and healing to the bones.

This is one that I use with my kids all the time. I love this proverb it is something they can totally relate to. I once let them taste a little vinegar and then a little honey. Now when someones words are a little harsh all I have to say is, “”Are your words like honey?”” It is so true that when someone speaks pleasant words it can totally defuse a situation.
