I have another book review for you. This time I had the pleasure of reviewing, ‘My Favorite Bible’ by Rondi De Boer and Christine Tangvald.
This is a sweet Bible Story Book for children and we have thoroughly enjoyed it. It measures about 6 ¼ by 7 ¾ inches so it is not a big and cumbersome book for little ones to hold. The illustrations are bright and fun.
Each story is well written with an ease to read. The book begins with a note to parents outlining the format of the book. Every story has Family Talk and a Family Fun section where you can go a little deeper with your children. At the beginning of each story you can find the scripture reference for where the story is found in the Bible. Then at the end of the story under Family Talk a Bible verse is given as a key verse, which can be used as a memory verse.
Under Family fun there is at least two options of activities to do with your children pertaining to the story. One Option is always for the child to work on a picture for their Bible Story Binder. A fun way for the children to keep track of what they have learned.
I really enjoyed this Bible story book and would give it as a gift.
The Bible verses are taken from, God’s Word Translation. The book is written for children ages 4-8. (However, I think younger little ones would enjoy participating too, and older brothers and sisters would enjoy grabbing this Bible story book to read to younger siblings.)
